After the specials, Viacom's brand-new fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons were broadcast on Nickelodeon networks worldwide ahead of the Italian broadcasts. The Nickelodeon revival began with four television specials that summarize the first two seasons of the original series. In 2010, Viacom announced that "Nickelodeon is teaming up with the original creator to present an all-new Winx Club." Viacom's Nickelodeon Animation Studio started production on a revived series, in which the Winx are once again students at Alfea, as they were before their graduation in the original show. Viacom became a co-owner of Rainbow to produce their own episodes of Winx Club. During the production of the fourth season, the American company Viacom (owner of Nickelodeon) engaged in a "long courtship" with the Rainbow studio. In 2008, Straffi made the decision to extend the original series with a fourth season, citing its increasing popularity. A feature-length film followed the third season, intended to wrap up the series' plot as the fairies graduate from Alfea College.
It follows a group of fairy warriors called the Winx as they enroll in Alfea College and learn to fight mythical villains.įrom the beginning of the show's development, Iginio Straffi planned an overarching plot that would conclude after three seasons.
Winx Club is an Italian-American animated television series co-produced by Rainbow SpA and Nickelodeon, which are both part of ViacomCBS. Karen is used as a minor character on Earth despite originating from the Magic Dimension.Karen may know some basic, first-level spells that all witches can use, such as telekinesis, transmuting objects, and fixing minor messes. Like all witches, her powers are derived from the negative aspects of magic. She is later seen with the rest of the Cloud Tower students in the amphitheater as the Trix announce their plan to call forth the Army of Darkness and sentencing all who oppose them into the dungeons. She gets caught in Stormy's tornado but is saved by Griffin. In " The Fall Of Magix", she is enjoying her meal at Cloud Tower when the Trix attack. She is later seen when Lucy is crowned Miss Magix, and is still in the background when the crown is given to Stella. In " Miss Magix," she is a contestant in Miss Magix. She performs a cheerleading routine only for the Trix to cause the floor under Karen to crack which causes her to fall through the floor. Karen is safely teleported onto the ground by Griffin. Her talent is also cheerleading fitting her more cheery personality. Unlike most witches she seems to have a more upbeat personality.
She is athletic and upbeat, but when the Trix took over Cloud Tower she became afraid easily.
